June 30, 2004: Magic Mosaics is once again part of the Olympics. Our Athens 2004 Olympics banner is the world's largest photo mosaic. The banner is 35.05m wide by 17.7m high and is on public display, wrapped around three sides of a prominent building in Athens, Greece. The Xerox building is on Sygrou Avenue, a direct route to the Faliro Main Olympic Complex. The mosaic features over 27,000 individual people's portraits, arranged as a mosaic depicting a celebration of the return of the athletes of the world to the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Each picture measures over 27 square inches, and there are no two alike in the entire mosaic. The banner is printed on a special optical fabric so that the windows are not completely covered, but the banner is highly visible from outside.
